Architecture and history.
The town of Pezenas, halfway between Béziers and the Mediterranean Sea, has ancient origins. Pezenas was founded in the 7th century BC. Under the aegis of the Prince de Conti in the 17th century, the town of Pezenas experienced its most flourishing period and enabled Molière to settle there with his troupe l'Illustre Théatre.
